TONIGHT’S GAME: After enjoying the comforts of home for five games, the Stars hit the road for a pair of games in Canada beginning tonight against the Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Centre. (7 p.m. CT, Bally Sports Southwest Extra, The Ticket 96.7-FM/1310-AM). This is the second meeting between the Stars and Jets in Winnipeg in a span of a little more than two weeks, a game that saw Dallas prevail 3-2 as part of a 3-0 road trip (also victories over Columbus and Minnesota). Following tonight’s game, the Stars will wrap up their brief road trip in Calgary on Thursday
NO FLY ZONE – The Stars are 1-0-0 vs. the Jets this season, having won the season opener 3-2 at Canada Life Centre on Nov. 11. – Dallas is 30-18-5 all-time vs. Winnipeg, including a 13-11-3 mark on the road. – The Stars have points in eight of their past nine games (6-1-2) against Winnipeg and in 12 of their previous 14 (9-2-3) against them. – Wyatt Johnston (1-1—2), Matt Duchene (1-0—1) and Thomas Harley (1-0—1) tallied goals in the club’s victory on Nov. 11, while Evgenii Dadonov (0-1—1) and Ryan Suter (0-1—1) picked up assists. Dallas Stars: Media Notes – Duchene enters tonight’s game ranked third among active Stars in goals (17), assists (18) and points (17-18—35) in 40 career contests vs. Winnipeg. – Johnston tallied his first of two shorthanded goals in consecutive games (also Nov. 12 at Minnesota) against the Jets earlier this month. It marked his first career shorthanded goal. Johnston comes in with two goals and three points (2-1—3) in four career games vs. Winnipeg. – Forward Tyler Seguin leads active Stars and shares fourth among active NHL skaters in career scoring against Winnipeg with 53 points (28-25—53) in 47 games, including 27 points (14-13—27) in 23 road games. Seguin has points in six of his past eight games (4- 6—10) overall against the Jets. The 30-year-old has played more games against Winnipeg than any other opponent and has the most goals (28) against any team he’s faced. Among active NHL skaters, Seguin ranks third in goals (28) and eighth in assists (25) vs. the Jets. He also ranks second in power-play tallies (13) and power-play points (26). – Forward Jason Robertson is averaging better than a point per game against the Jets in his career (8-2—10 in 8 GP). Robertson has points in all but two games vs. Winnipeg and has goals in five of the eight. The only team he has scored on more than Winnipeg is Chicago (9). Robertson recorded his first career NHL hat trick against the Jets on March 4, 2022 to become the fourth player in franchise history (1967-present) to cap a regular-season hat trick with an overtime goal and the first to do so since the club relocated to Dallas. – Captain Jamie Benn ranks second on the club with 42 points (19-23—42) in 42 career contests vs. Winnipeg. He has goals in five of his past nine games against Winnipeg (5-5—10) and has logged points (6-5—11) in seven of the previous 11 games against them. – Forward Joe Pavelski ranks fourth among active Stars in goals (12), assists (15) and points (12-15—27) in 34 career games against the Jets. – Suter has 16 points (2-14—16) in a team-high 49 career games against the Jets and has averaged 25:35 TOI in those contests. – Goaltender Jake Oettinger is 3-0-1 with a 2.72 goals-against average and .889 save percentage in four career appearances against the Jets. – Wedgewood is 1-2-0 with a 3.10 GAA and .908 SV% in four career appearances vs. Winnipeg.
SPECIAL TEAMS SPECTACULAR! – Seven of the Stars’ eight goals in their win over the Wild on Nov. 12 came on special teams (five PPG, two SHG). – They became just the sixth team in NHL history to record seven (or more) special-teams goals and the first to do so since Toronto scored seven on Oct. 14, 2005.

Scene Setter
After a three-game road trip, the Winnipeg Jets are back at Canada Life Centre for a four-game homestand, which begins on Tuesday night against the Dallas Stars. The Jets went 2-1-0 during their road trip, which concluded with a 3-2 loss to the Nashville Predators on Sunday night. After Tuesday’s game, the Jets entertain the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday in the second game of the homestand.

Major Impact
Mark Scheifele’s 16 assists and Josh Morrissey’s 15 assists make Winnipeg one of seven teams in the NHL this season to have two players with 15 assists or more… The pair is on pace for more than 60 assists each, which would be the first time in franchise history two players have had 60 assists in the same season… The duo has either scored or assisted eight of Winnipeg’s past 12 goals.

After allowing 13 goals in his first three starts of the season, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is 9-2-1 with a 2.23 goals-against average and .923 save percentage… He’s won four consecutive starts for the first time this season… He has a .945 save percentage during his current four-game winning streak… Hellebuyck added to his franchise record with his 33rd career shutout on Friday against Florida, which is also second most in the NHL since Hellebuyck came into the league during the 2015-16 season.
