BLUE JACKETS NOTES
THE FINAL THREE
Columbus plays its final three games of the 2022-23 season with the next two against Metropolitan Division before ending the campaign against Buffalo (Atlantic Division) on April 14. The Blue Jackets, who play their final road game of the season on Tuesday, are at the end of a stretch of three-of-four games played on the road. The club is also closing out a stretch of 15-of-21 games played away from Nationwide Arena from February 26-April 11. The team will then play its final two games of the season at home at Nationwide Arena with their 17th and final back-to-back set on Thursday (Pittsburgh) and Friday (Buffalo).
A CHANGING LINEUP
CBJ have set a couple of records this season due to injuries and illnesses. The club enters Tuesday’s game at Philadelphia with 530 man games lost due to injuries/illness through 79 games in 2022-23. The mark surpasses the previous high of 508 MGL recorded in 2014-15. With that, the Blue Jackets have seen 43 different players play in a game this season (37 skaters, six goaltenders). It sets a new franchise record for most netminders to play in a game in a single season and ties the record for most players to play in a game (2003-04; 40 skaters/3 goaltenders).
