GAME NOTES
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
• Tonight’s matchup with Colorado is the sixth of 14 games the Kraken will play in November, which is tied with March for their most regular-season games in a single month this season. • Seattle’s current four-game stretch is being played against the same two opponents: Colorado tonight and on Nov. 9 and Edmonton on Nov. 11 and 15. • Tonight’s game is the final time the Kraken will face off against the Avalanche this season. A win tonight would give them their first series win of the season and their second ever against the Avalanche. o Seattle went 2-0-1 against Colorado last season. • Vince Dunn enters tonight’s game riding a three-game point streak against the Avalanche, totaling four assists during that span. • Eeli Tolvanen enters tonight’s game riding a four-game point streak. A goal or an assist tonight would give him points in five consecutive games for the first time since he also recorded a five-game point streak from Feb. 10 to 18, 2023. • The Kraken have opened the scoring in 10 of the 15 games they have played this season, which was tied with the Golden Knights, Penguins and Rangers for the most in the NHL this season entering play Sunday. • Entering play Sunday, Tye Kartye ranked second among all NHL rookies with 33 shots on goal this season, trailing only Chicago’s Connor Bedard (39) for the league lead. • Joey Daccord’s next win (three) and next start (seven) will both be his most in a single NHL season. • Entering play Sunday, Adam Larsson, who has 35 hits and 30 blocked shots this year, was one of five skaters this season to total at least 30 hits and 30 blocked shots. • Larsson has totaled 197 points (41 goals, 156 assists) in his NHL career. Currently three points shy, he is set to become the third defenseman from the 2011 NHL draft class to total 200 or more career points, trailing only Dougie Hamilton (455) and Jonas Brodin (219).
FAMILIAR FOES
• If they play, tonight’s game will mark the third matchup of the season against Colorado for former Avs Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Philipp Grubauer. • Bellemare played for the Avalanche from 2019-20 to 2020-21, totaling 33 points (18 goals, 15 assists) in 122 regular-season games and adding six points (two goals, four assists) in 25 playoff games. • Grubauer was traded to Colorado during the 2018 offseason and went on to play for them for three seasons (2018-19 to 2020- 21), posting a 66-30-10 record with a 2.38 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. He also appeared in 29 playoff games for the Avalanche, posting an 18-9-1 record with a 2.31 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. • Andre Burakovsky, who is currently on injured reserve, spent three seasons with the Colorado Avalanche (2019-20 to 2021- 22) after being traded to the team from Washington during the 2019 offseason, totaling 150 points (61 goals, 89 assists) in 191 regular-season games. His 150 points were the sixth-most by a Colorado skater during that span and he ranked in the top five on the team in both goals (fourth) and assists (fifth) from 2019-20 to the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. • The forward added 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists) in 37 total postseason games en route to winning the 2022 Staley Cup with the Avalanche.
