The Ducks fell 6-3 to the St. Louis Blues at Honda Center Saturday night. Nikita Nesterenko scored his first career NHL goal at 4:05 of the first period, becoming the second Ducks player this season to net their first NHL goal (also Pavol Regenda, Nov. 9 vs. MIN; 1-0=1). Troy Terry opened the scoring with his 21st goal (PPG) at 1:46 of the first period and tallied his 35th assist for his team-leading 15th multi-point performance. Mason McTavish registered his 26th assist and 42nd point of the season, passing Chris Kunitz for sole possession of fourth most points by a Ducks rookie in a single season (19-22=41 in 2005-06). His primary assist also pushed his rookie-leading tally to 18 this season. Ryan Strome netted his 14th goal at 5:39 of the third period, his third goal the past five games (3-1=4). Trevor Zegras recorded his team-leading 37th assist and 59th point, while Kevin Shattenkirk, Max Jones and Jakob Silfverberg also earned assists. John Gibson stopped 30 shots in his 50th appearance of the season

TONIGHT’S GAME: The Anaheim Ducks conclude an eight-game homestand spanning 16 days tonight vs .the Colorado Avalanche at Honda Center (7 p.m. PT, TV: Bally Sports West AUDIO: Ducks Stream). Anaheim enters tonight with points nine of their last 15 games (6-6-3) and 10 of the last 17 overall (6-7-4). The Ducks have also earned points in 14 of the last 25 games overall (10-11-4) and are 11-12-5 the last 28 contests. Following tonight’s game, the Ducks will begin a three-game road trip beginning Thursday, March 30 at Seattle (7 p.m. PT). The road trip also includes a back-to-back matchup at Edmonton (Saturday, April 1, 7 p.m. PT) and Calgary (Sunday, April 2, 5 p.m. PT).
EIGHT STRAIGHT: The Ducks conclude an eight-game homestand tonight that began March 12, the second-longest homestand of the 2022-23 season and also tied for the second-longest in franchise history. Anaheim hosted a club record 10-game homestand Dec. 23-Jan. 13 spanning 24 days (3-6-1 record). The homestand was tied for the third-longest in NHL history, trailing 12 straight at home by Tampa Bay (2010-11) and the California Golden Seals (1975-76). Anaheim’s longest prior homestand was eight games (three times), including Dec. 28, 2014-Jan. 16, 2015 (6-2-0, 12 pts.), Mar. 2-18, 2007 (6-1-1, 13 pts.) and Oct. 28-Nov. 14, 2001 (2-4-2, 6 pts.).
