TEAM NOTES PLAYING ROOKY: Connor Bedard tallied an assist on Sunday against the Sabres and now has assists in back-to-back games (2A) … Bedard has also logged points in four of his last five games, earning eight points (4G, 4A) over that stretch … He scored two goals at Florida on Nov. 12 to give him consecutive multi-goal games (4G, 2A) … Bedard is just the fourth Blackhawks rookie over the past 40 years to record back-to-back multi-goal games (others: Dominik Kubalik in 2019-20, Artemi Panarin in 2015-16 and Pavel Vorobiev in 2005-06), while he’s the seventh 18-year-old in NHL history to do so … Bedard currently leads NHL rookies and ranks first among all Blackhawks players with nine goals and 15 points (9G, 6A) so far this season … The forward is the first rookie in franchise history to scored nine goals through his first 13 games played, while he’s just the sixth to record at least 13 points over that span and the first since Patrick Kane (16 points) and Jonathan Toews (13 points) in 2007-08 … With his four-point outing on Nov. 9, Bedard became the youngest player in franchise history to post a multi-goal game (previous: Kirby Dach (18 yrs., 300 days) on Nov. 17, 2019) … He also became the third-youngest player in NHL history with a four-point game, behind Maple Leafs forward Ted Kennedy (18 yrs., 27 days on Jan. 8, 1944) and Bruins forward Bep Guidolin (18 yrs., 58 days on Feb. 5, 1944) … The North Vancouver, B.C. native posted a three-game goal streak (3G) from Oct. 27 – Nov. 4, becoming the youngest player (18 yrs., 110 days) in franchise history to do so.
MR. JONES AND ME: Blueliner Seth Jones tallied an assist against the Predators on Saturday and now has four helpers in his last eight games … Jones is tied for first on the team with seven assists so far in 2023-24, while his seven points rank first among club defensemen … The 29-year-old ranks fourth in the NHL and leads the Blackhawks with an average 25:50 TOI/G … He also ranks second on the squad with 33 blocked shots … Jones logged a season-high 31:46 TOI on Nov. 9 at Tampa Bay, marking the fourth-highest TOI in a single regular-season game in his career.
DON’T GO JASON WATERFALLS: Forward Jason Dickinson was held off the scoresheet on Sunday, snapping his three-game point streak (1G, 2A) … Dickinson comes into Wednesday’s game having registered points (1G, 4A) in five of his last seven games … He currently shares fifth on the squad with five assists and seven points (2G, 5A) on the season … Dickinson leads team forwards and ranks fifth among all Blackhawks skaters with 20 blocked shots so far this season, while he ranks third on the team with 28 hits … The forward logged two points (1G, 1A) against the Penguins on Oct. 10, including scoring the game-winning goal … It marked his sixth career GWG, and his second as a member of the Blackhawks.
