LAST GAME
The Hurricanes earned a 5-4 shootout win over the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center on Sunday, extending their point streak to 17 games and their win streak to 11 games, both of which are franchise record. They also tied the franchise-record road point streak with a point in 12 consecutive road contests. Sebastian Aho (1g, 1a), Stefan Noesen (2a) and Derek Stepan (2g) each posted two points, as Aho scored Carolina’s third shorthanded goal of the season. Martin Necas also scored the game-tying, power-play goal in the third period, and Andrei Svechnikov scored his franchise-record sixth career game-deciding goal in the second round of the shootout. Antti Raanta made 24 saves and stopped all three shootout attempts to improve to 7-0-0 in his last seven decisions and record the first shootout win of his Hurricanes career.

HURRICANES vs. RANGERS SERIES NOTES
— Carolina is facing New York in the first of four meetings between the teams during the 2022-23 season. The Rangers travel to PNC Arena on 2/11 and 3/23, and the Hurricanes return to Madison Square Garden on 3/21.
