NOVEMBER 14, 2022 – LA KINGS [5] vs. CALGARY FLAMES [6]
The Calgary Flames welcomed the Los Angeles Kings for the first of two meetings at the Scotiabank Saddledome this season. Jonathan Huberdeau opened the scoring 3:49 into the opening frame with his 200th NHL goal and the two club traded blows after that, combining for a six-goal first period with the Flames leading 4-2 after a busy opening 20. In the second, Adam Ruzicka and Elias Lindholm would both score for the second straight game along with the Kings’ Kevin Fiala for another high scoring period. The Flames would surrender a pair of goals in the third but lock things down and come away with a 6-5 victory over LA.

HUBY DOOBY DOO:
Jonathan Huberdeau recorded goal number 200 of his NHL career with his game-opening tally on Monday night. In reaching the 200-goal milestone, he becomes the eighth player from the 2011 NHL Draft to eclipse the 200 goal plateau and he is currently third in points from the 2011 class, just one point behind second.

NAZ-HIM KADRI:
Nazem Kadri recorded his first multi-assist game as a member of the Calgary Flames on Monday night and his two helpers gave him 300 on his NHL career. He becomes the seventh member of the 2009 NHL Draft to reach the 300-assist milestone.

HOT STARTS:
The Flames found the back of the net four times in the first period of Monday’s 6-5 win over LA. This is the second time they’ve scored four in the opening frame of a game with the other coming against Edmonton in their season opener on October 14th. They are the only team in the NHL to tally four times in the opening frame multiple times so far this season.

BIG Z:
Nikita Zadorov skated in career game number 500 on Monday night, logging over 21 minutes of ice-time. He became just the third defenseman from the 2013 NHL Draft to play in 500 NHL games, joining Seth Jones (CHI) and Rasmus Ristolainen (PHI).

RED HOT RUZICKA:
Forward Adam Ruzicka recorded his second straight multi-point effort on Monday night (1-1—2), and has five points in his last four games. The Bratislava, SVK native picked up his first career game-winning goal in the NHL with is tally against the Kings and has averaged over 15 minutes a game in his last three contests.

LIND-HOME:
With another multi-point effort at home on Monday, (1-2—3), Elias Lindholm now has nine points in his last six games at the Scotiabank Saddledome, including goals in three-straight and six points in those outings. He is now tied with Nazem Kadri with 11 points on home ice so far this season.

DID YOU KNOW?
Darryl Sutter recorded career win number 800 in regular season and playoffs combined on Monday. Elias Lindholm has scored 26 even-strength goals since February 2nd, which is the second most in the NHL over that span.
