CALGARY FLAMES NOTES:

FLAMES LAST GAME RECAP
March 20, 2023 – CALGARY FLAMES [5] vs. DALLAS STARS 6
The Calgary Flames welcomed the Dallas Stars to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday night for the clubs third and final meeting this season. Dallas would score just 1:05 into the game and add a second just 53 seconds later to jump ahead 2-0. Calgary would battle back with Elias Lindholm notching his 20th of the season shortly after, but Dallas would add another before the end of the frame to make it 3-1 through 20. MacKenzie Weegar drew Calgary back within one midway through the second period, followed by Blake Coleman poking home his 17th on the campaign to tie the game. A little later in the frame, Nick Ritchie was sprung on a breakaway, and the winger slid home his second marker as a Flame to give Calgary their first lead of the night, 4-3. Jason Robertson would tie the game at four’s just before the end of the middle stanza. The teams continued to find the back of the net, and traded goals in the third with a pair of defenders scoring for both clubs, Andersson for Calgary, Hakanpaa for Dallas, and this game required overtime tied at fives through 60 minutes of play. Dallas would score in the extra frame to win 6-5.
