CALGARY FLAMES NOTES:

FLAMES LAST GAME RECAP November 1, 2023 –

CALGARY FLAMES [3] vs. DALLAS STARS [4]

The Calgary Flames welcomed the Dallas Stars to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Wednesday night. Connor Zary would open the scoring with his first NHL goal just over five minutes into the first to give the Flames an early lead. Jamie Benn would respond for the Stars in the ladder stages of the frame to leave the game deadlocked at one a piece through 20. In the second, Andrew Mangiapane sniped home his fourth of the year to give the Flames their second lead, but Dallas would score three unanswered goals to go up 4-2 through 40. MacKenzie Weegar would draw the Flames within one just 2:20 into the final stanza, but that is as close as Calgary would come as they fell 4-3.

This is the first of four meetings this season between the Flames and Kraken. The Flames went 2-1-0 against the Kraken last year, with the road team winning in all three contests.
