CALGARY FLAMES NOTES:

FLAMES LAST GAME RECAP
JANUARY 10, 2023 – CALGARY FLAMES [3] vs. ST. LOUIS BLUES 4
The Calgary Flames continued a five-game Central Division road trip on Tuesday night for their first of back-to-back games against the Blues. St. Louis opened the scoring under four minutes in after a Pavel Buchnevich pass deflected off Chris Tanev’s stick and an unfortunate bounce would put the Flames down early. But Calgary responded after Nazem Kadri feathered a perfect back door pass to a streaking Milan Lucic who tapped home his fourth of the season to draw the Flames level. Shortly after, a Nikita Zadorov shot was redirected by Mikael Backlund past Jordan Binnington to give the Flames their first lead of the night and things would stay that way heading into the intermission. In the second, the Flames would make it three unanswered goals as Andrew Mangiapane took a pass from skate to stick and ripped home his eighth of the season, making it 3-1 Calgary through 40. In the third, the Blues would battle back to tie the game thanks to goals from Nikita Alexandrov and Jordan Kyrou to send the game to overtime. In the extra frame, the Blues would score just 28 seconds in to win 4-3.
