TODAY’S GAME
SABRES AT ISLANDERS
• This is the third and final meeting between the Sabres and Islanders this season.
• Last meeting: New York defeated Buffalo 3-2 in New York on March 7.
• The Sabres are 5-5-0 in their last 10 games against the New York; 0-8-2 on the road.
• This is the 187th game all-time between Buffalo and New York; Buffalo has an 87-74-25 series record.
• The Sabres are 17-17-8 on the road against the Islanders all-time.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
• With a win tonight, Buffalo would earn its 35th win of 2022-23, which would be highest win total since they earned 35 wins in 2015-16.

• Alex Tuch has recorded 13 points (8+5) in his last 11 games dating back to Feb. 15 at Anaheim.

• Tage Thompson has recorded 39 points (18+21) in his last 38 games, including 20 points (9+11) in his last 19 games.

• With one point in tonight’s game, Thompson would become the 10th skater in Sabres history to record 90 or more points in a single season. Daniel Briere’s 95 points (32+63) in 2006-07 is the last instance of a Buffalo skater reaching 90 points.

• Jeff Skinner has notched 19 points (10+9) in his last 19 games.

• JJ Peterka has notched six points (1+5) in his last five games, and he would earn his fourth point streak of three or more games in 2022-23.

• With a point in tonight’s game, Dylan Cozens will have recorded at least one point in three consecutive games.

• Rasmus Dahlin has notched one assist in two consecutive games and an assist in tonight’s game would give him eight assist streaks of three or more games this season and 20 in his career.

• Victor Olofsson needs one assist in tonight’s game to earn the second three-game assist streak of his career, and the first since he tallied four assists in three games from Dec. 2 to 7, 2019.

• In his last two games, Jack Quinn has earned three points (1+2).

• If Quinn records a point in tonight’s game, it would mark his third point streak of three or more games this season.

BACK-TO-BACK
• Today’s game concludes Buffalo’s 12th of 15 sets of back-to-back games this season, which began with a home win against the New Jersey Devils last night. The Sabres are 6-5-1 in the first game of back-to-back sets and 3-7-1 in the second game so far this season. Buffalo’s point breakdown in back-to-back sets this season is: four points (3), three points (0), two points (2), one point (2) and zero points (4).

TEAM NOTES
TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
Tonight, the New York Islanders host the Buffalo Sabres in the third and final matchup between the two clubs this season. These teams last met less than three weeks ago, on March 7 at UBS Arena. Four different Islanders tallied multi-point games, including Hudson Fasching who recorded a goal and assist, and Alexander Romanov who notched two assists in a 3-2 Islander win. The Islanders enter tonight’s matchup with an 11-game home win streak against the Sabres. It is the second-longest active home winning streak in the NHL against a single franchise, following Pittsburgh’s 13-game home win streak against the Columbus Blue Jackets. They have also won each of their last three matchups with an Atlantic Division opponent. The Islanders enter tonight’s matchup having collected points in their last four straight games. They collected a point in an overtime loss last night against the Columbus Blue Jackets after overcoming a two-goal deficit at the start of the third period.
