DALLAS STARS NOTES:
LAST DALLAS STARS GAME
Jan. 19, 2023 – STARS 4 at KINGS 0
The Stars closed out their three-game road trip like they opened it by winning 4-0 against the LA Kings at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday. Dallas began its three-game slate with a 4-0 win over Vegas on Jan. 16 and could’ve made it a sweep had the club held onto a three-goal lead in an eventual 5-3 defeat to San Jose on Jan. 18. Goaltender Scott Wedgewood delivered a 34-save shutout performance against the Kings, including 14 stops in the third period. It marked his second shutout with the Stars (1-0 W; April 12, 2022 vs. Tampa Bay) and the sixth of his career. Forward Tyler Seguin (2-1—3) matched a season high with three points, tallying both of his goals in the first period. Defenseman Esa Lindell (1-0—1) made it 3-0 with under two minutes remaining in the opening frame and hometown kid Jason Robertson (1-1—2) recorded a multi-point effort to give the Stars four out of a possible six points on the road trip. Defenseman Miro Heiskanen (0-1—1) extended his point streak to four consecutive games (tying a season high), while captain Jamie Benn (0-1—1) and forwards Joe Pavelski (0-1—1) and Wyatt Johnston (0-1—1) registered assists.
