TONIGHT’S GAME: The Anaheim Ducks hit the midway point of a three-game road trip spanning four days tonight vs. the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place (7 p.m. PT, TV: Bally Sports SoCal, AUDIO: Ducks Stream). Anaheim enters tonight with points in five of the last eight road games (3-3-2), 11 of the last 17 (7-5-4) and 13 of the last 19 contests away from home (9-6-4). Tonight opens Anaheim’s 10th set of back-to-back games, posting a 2-11-5 mark overall this season (1-4-4 in the first contest). Anaheim opens a seven-game April schedule, the final contests remaining on Anaheim’s 2022-23 schedule. The Ducks will play in either the Pacific (5 games) and Mountain (2 games), with four home contest and three road on the calendar. Milestones within reach tonight include Trevor Zegras is currently one goal and one assist from matching his career-highs of 23 and 38 respectively set last season, and two points shy of his 61 last season, and Cam Fowler one goal to tying his career high in goals set in 2016-17 (11). Following tonight’s game, the Ducks will conclude the road trip and back-to-back matchup tomorrow, Sunday, April 2 at Calgary (5 p.m. PT).
DUCKS-OILERS: Anaheim and Edmonton face off in the third of a four-game season series tonight and the final of two meetings at Rogers Place. Tonight’s contest also marks the final two meetings in a pan of five days. The Ducks have earned points in six of their past 10 games against the Oilers in Edmonton dating to 2016-17 (5-4-1). Anaheim and Edmonton have split the first two games of the 2022-23 season series, as the Ducks earned a 4-3 win Dec. 17 at Rogers Place and the Oilers took a 6-2 win Jan. 11 in Orange County. Lukas Dostal made a career-high 46 saves in Anaheim’s win Dec. 17, the second-most saves in a game by a Ducks rookie goaltender.
