RECAP/NOTES: The Rangers scored five unanswered goals to stave off elimination on Saturday night at MSG. Chris Kreider opened the scoring to begin his three-point night and Mika Zibanejad, Adam Fox and Vladimir Tarasenko notched multi-point games of their own. New York improved to 24-22 overall and 15-9 at home all-time in Game 6s.

RANGERS RUNDOWN

  • The New York Rangers face the New Jersey Devils in Game 7 of the First Round, at the Prudential Center (8:00 PM ET – TV: MSG Network, ESPN – Radio: ESPN 98.7 FM). The Rangers and Devils will meet in a Game 7 for the third time, following the 1994 Conference Finals and 1992 Division Semifinals – New York emerged victorious in both previous instances.
  • The Blueshirts are 6-1 in their last seven elimination games.
  • In the NHL, the Rangers have allowed the fewest G/GP in these playoffs with a 2.17 mark. Dating back to the regular season, the Blueshirts have allowed three or fewer goals in 24 of their last 25 games.
  • When scoring four or more goals, New York are a combined 36-0-0 (33-0-0 in regular season, 3-0 in playoffs). In the regular season, the Blueshirts were only team in the NHL to have a perfect such record.

  • The Rangers have scored a power play goal in three of the first six games.
  • In Game 2, the Blueshirts tabbed scored two more power play goals, marking the first time since the 1995 postseason that they have started a playoff year with multiple PPGs in each of the first two games.
