* Mitchell Marner extended his home point streak to a Maple Leafs-record 19 games and became just the second NHL player in the past 20 years to record a run of that length.

Connor McDavid was one of several 2023 NHL All-Stars to find the score sheet Tuesday, netting a highlight-reel goal in an Oilers win against the Kraken at Rogers Place.

* Wednesday’s five-game slate features a national doubleheader on TNT that opens with the League-leading Bruins visiting the Islanders and concludes with the Stars facing off against the Sharks.

MARNER EXTENDS HOME POINT STREAK, ESTABLISHES FRANCHISE RECORD
Mitchell Marner (0-2—2) collected two assists to extend his home point streak to a Maple Leafs-record 19 games (7-21—28) – surpassing Darryl Sittler (18 GP in 1977-78) – as Toronto (27-11-7, 61 points) completed a come-from-behind victory against Florida (21-20-5, 47 points) in overtime.

* Marner, who was named to the Atlantic Division roster for 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend, posted his 86th career multi-assist game and tied Dave Keon for fourth place on the Maple Leafs’ all-time list. Since Marner entered the League in 2016-17, only Connor McDavid (135 GP) and Artemi Panarin (91 GP) have more.

OTHER SUNRISE-BOUND SKATERS CONTINUE TO SHINE AHEAD OF ALL-STAR WEEKEND
Several players headed to 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend continued to roll as we approach the festivities at FLA Live Arena from Feb. 3-5. The 32 players named to the four divisional rosters will be joined by 12 additional All-Stars selected in the 2023 NHL All-Star Fan Vote presented by Guaranteed Rate, which concluded Tuesday – the dozen players will be announced by NHL national rightsholders ESPN, Sportsnet and TVA during broadcast windows on Thursday.

Connor McDavid (38-46—84 in 46 GP) scored his NHL-leading 38th goal of the season in highlight-reel fashion to extend his point streak to eight games (6-6—12 in 8 GP). The Oilers captain is on pace for 67 goals in 2022-23, the highest by any player since Mario Lemieux in 1995-96 (69 in 70 GP w/ PIT). Among the five 60-goal scorers in the past 27 years, only two had as many goals as McDavid through their 46th game of a season: Jaromir Jagr (40 in 1995-96 w/ PIT) and Lemieux (47 in 1995-96 w/ PIT).

Seth Jones (2-1—3) pulled the Blackhawks even with 55.8 seconds remaining in regulation and scored the 10th overtime goal of his NHL career, making him the third defenseman in League history with a double-digit total (also Brent Burns & Scott Niedermayer). Jones became the third blueliner in NHL history with a tying goal in the final minute of regulation and the overtime winner, joining Philadelphia’s Joni Pitkanen (Nov. 8, 2005) and St. Louis’ Rob Ramage (March 10, 1984). Three forwards have accomplished the feat with Chicago: Denis Arkhipov (Jan. 28, 2007), Jeff Hamilton (Dec. 2, 2006) and Alexei Zhamnov (April 7, 2000).

Kevin Hayes scored the first hat trick of his NHL career as the Flyers downed the Ducks. Hayes’ three-goal performance marked the League’s 50th hat trick of the season.

TNT DOUBLEHEADER OPENS WITH LEAGUE-LEADING BRUINS
Wednesday’s five-game slate includes a national doubleheader broadcast on TNT that opens with the League-leading Bruins (34-5-4, 72 points) visiting the Islanders (23-18-4, 50 points) and concludes with the Stars (26-12-7, 59 points) visiting the Sharks (13-23-9, 35 points) with Dallas trying to maintain its lead on Winnipeg for first in the Central Division standings.

* The Bruins have won two in a row and boast a 7-1-2 record across their last 10 games. Boston will be looking for its 35th win of the season in its 44th game, which would stand as the second-fewest contests in NHL history needed to reach 35 wins, behind its own 40-game benchmark set in 1929-30 (35-4-1, 71 points).

David Pastrnak (35-27—62 in 43 GP) has scored 10 goals across his last six games (10-2—12 in 6 GP) to move from fifth in the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy race when the run started Jan. 5 to second behind only Connor McDavid (38). He is the first Bruins skater to score 10 goals in a six-game stretch since Barry Pederson scored 12 times in a span of six outings from Dec. 4-12, 1982.
