Game Summary
The Minnesota Vikings (1-0) will travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles (1-0) in a Week 2 showdown on Monday Night Football, the team’s lone MNF Game of the 2022 season, scheduled to air on ABC at 7:30 p.m. CT. This will be Minnesota’s third time playing Philadelphia on MNF, and the club’s first trip to the city since 2018, a 23-21 Vikings win.

Last week, Minnesota defeated Green Bay 23-7 at home in their first NFC North matchup of the season, and Philadelphia came out on top in the 38-35 victory at Detroit.

In the win over Green Bay, Kevin O’Connell became the fifth Vikings head coach to win their head coaching debut, joining Norm Van Brocklin (1961), Dennis Green (1992), Brad Childress (2006) and Mike Zimmer (2014).

WR Justin Jefferson set a career high and led all players in the NFL with 184 receiving yards in Week 1. Jefferson also had the highest yards per catch (20.4) of any player with at least five receptions in the opening week. RB Dalvin Cook surpassed 100 yards from scrimmage (90 rushing yards, 18 receiving yards) in the first game with O’Connell as the play-caller. QB Kirk Cousins recorded a 118.9 passer rating, which is fourth in the league in Week 1, and now owns a 5-3-1 record against the Packers.

The Vikings defense registered 4.0 sacks, one interception and a forced fumble under new Defensive Coordinator Ed Donatell. New Vikings LB Jordan Hicks led the team with 14 total tackles and added 1.0 sack, where he also forced a fumble. OLBs Za’Darius Smith and Danielle Hunter also registered 1.0 sack each in Week 1 and S Harrison Smith tallied his 30th career interception.

• K Greg Joseph connected on a career-long 56-yard field goal, tying the franchise record for the longest field goal made. Joseph now has eight 50-plus yard field goals since the start of last season, the most in the NFC.
