HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Monday that they have released American receiver Tim White ahead of the Feb. 10 free agency period.

White, ranked No. 27 on CFL.ca’s Top 30 pending free agents list, spent five seasons in Hamilton and became one of the league’s most productive pass-catchers. He recorded 383 receptions for 5,488 yards and 33 touchdowns during his tenure, earning All‑CFL honours in 2022, 2023, and 2024. He also led the CFL in receiving yards in 2023.

In 2025, White posted his fourth consecutive 1,000‑yard season, finishing with 84 catches for 1,016 yards and seven touchdowns.

MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes announced Monday that they have released American receiver Austin Mack. The club also confirmed a two‑year contract extension for American running back Travis Theis (2026–27) and an agreement with American defensive end David Perales (2026–27).

Mack spent three seasons in Montreal, with a brief stint in the U.S., totaling 136 receptions for 1,973 yards and six touchdowns. He played a pivotal role in the Alouettes’ victory in the 110th Grey Cup, posting six catches for 103 yards and a touchdown in the championship win over Winnipeg. In 2025, he appeared in 12 regular‑season games, recording 48 receptions for 673 yards and two touchdowns.

“We released Austin to accommodate him and allow him to explore his options,” said general manager Danny Maciocia. “We appreciate the seasons he gave us in Montreal, and our lines of communication with him remain open.”

Theis returns after an impressive rookie campaign in 2025, earning the team’s Rookie of the Year honours. The 25‑year‑old rushed 70 times for 365 yards and added 19 receptions for 162 yards. The Pratt, Kansas native also showcased his versatility on special teams, returning 19 kickoffs for 364 yards and adding 175 yards and a touchdown on 13 punt returns.

“Travis is capable of wearing many hats on our team and allows us to surprise our opponents at times,” Maciocia said. “We were very pleased with his rookie season and expect him to continue to grow, which will be very positive for our team.”

Perales joins Montreal after a standout collegiate career at Fresno State, where he finished with 22.5 career sacks, the sixth‑highest total in program history. His best season came in 2022, when he posted 11.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, an interception, and five pass breakups across 13 starts. The San Jose, Calif., native ranked seventh in the FBS in sacks that year. He began his college career at Sacramento State before transferring to Fresno State.

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced Monday that they have signed American offensive lineman Jacob Brammer to a one‑year contract extension. Brammer had been slated to reach free agency on Feb. 10 and ranked No. 17 on CFL.ca’s Top 30 pending free agents list.

Brammer returns to Saskatchewan following a standout 2025 campaign at right guard, earning his first All‑CFL selection. He appeared in 17 regular‑season games, helping anchor a unit that tied for the second‑fewest sacks allowed (26) and paved the way for the league’s second‑leading rusher, A.J. Ouellette (1,222 yards).

The Riders’ offensive line earned top Pro Football Focus grades in Weeks 1, 2, 4, 9, 11, 14, and 15, and was named PFF’s top offensive line for both June and September. Brammer started the Western Final and the 112th Grey Cup, where the line did not allow a sack, cleared lanes for Ouellette’s 113 rushing yards, and protected Trevor Harris en route to 302 passing yards in the championship.

The Texas native made his CFL debut on July 19, 2024, earning a spot on PFF’s CFL Honour Roll that week. He played four additional games that season and appeared in both the Western Semi‑Final and Western Final.

Before turning pro, Brammer played one season (2022) at Vanderbilt, starting 11 games at right tackle and logging 718 snaps for a unit that allowed just 15 sacks in 12 games — fourth‑best in the SEC. He previously spent four seasons at North Texas (2018–21), appearing in 38 games (35 starts). He earned All‑Conference USA second‑team honours in 2020 and helped the Mean Green average 235.4 rushing yards per game in 2021, the fifth‑highest mark in the nation.

The Roughriders also announced the signing of American quarterback Jordan McCloud.

McCloud (six‑foot, 205 pounds) attended the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ rookie mini‑camp in April 2025 after a prolific 2024 season at Texas State. He started all 13 games for the Bobcats, throwing for 3,227 yards and 30 touchdowns with a 70.2 percent completion rate, while adding 278 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. His performance followed a stellar 2023 season at James Madison, where he was named Sun Belt Player of the Year after posting 3,657 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, and eight rushing scores.

Across his junior and senior seasons, McCloud led the Sun Belt in multiple categories, including completions, completion percentage, passing yards, passing touchdowns, efficiency rating, and total touchdowns. He also ranked among the top 10 nationally in several of those categories and set multiple single‑season records at Texas State.

McCloud previously played at South Florida (2018–20) and Arizona (2021–22). Over his collegiate career, he amassed 10,135 passing yards, 88 passing touchdowns, 986 rushing yards, and 20 rushing scores.

Saskatchewan also added American defensive lineman Justin (J.J.) Weaver.

Weaver signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in July 2025 and attended training camp. He spent six collegiate seasons (2019–24) at Kentucky, appearing in 58 games with 39 starts. His career totals include 197 tackles, 39.5 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks, 15 quarterback hurries, eight pass breakups, two interceptions, five forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and a blocked kick. He finished his Wildcats career ranked third all‑time in tackles for loss and fourth in sacks.

Off the field, Weaver earned widespread recognition for his community work. In 2024, he was named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, received the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award, the Freddie Solomon Community Spirit Award, and the Ron Butler Character in Adversity Award, and was an Orange Bowl Courage Award nominee. His outreach includes supporting homeless initiatives, school supply drives, and providing free haircuts for children. After losing his father and a beloved teacher, he launched a program to help young people navigate grief.

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders announced Monday that they have extended American defensive back Derrick Moncrief, keeping one of their top defensive performers from 2025 off the free‑agent market. Moncrief had been eligible to become a free agent on Feb. 10 and ranked No. 29 on CFL.ca’s Top 30 pending free agents list.

Moncrief, an eight‑year CFL veteran, made an immediate impact in his first season with Calgary. Starting all 18 regular‑season games at SAM linebacker, he recorded 67 defensive tackles, a league‑leading 12 tackles for loss, two interceptions — including a 70‑yard pick‑six — along with one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and six knockdowns. His teammates voted him the recipient of the Presidents’ Ring, awarded for excellence on and off the field. He also started the Western Semi‑Final, registering one tackle.

“We’re excited to bring back another piece of the core of our team,” said general manager and head coach Dave Dickenson. “Derrick is a great leader and he plays the game the right way.”

Across 107 career regular‑season games with Calgary, Edmonton, and Saskatchewan, Moncrief has totaled 365 defensive tackles, 12 tackles for loss, nine special‑teams tackles, 11 sacks, 12 interceptions, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 25 knockdowns.

The Stampeders also added three American players to the roster: defensive back Kam Alexander, running back Kay’Ron Lynch‑Adams, and defensive lineman Tre’Mon Morris‑Brash.

Alexander attended NFL training camps with the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025, appearing in one preseason game for each club. He earned first‑team All‑American Athletic Conference honours at UTSA in 2023 after posting 34 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, and 17 pass breakups in 13 games (nine starts). His collegiate career also included four seasons at Sam Houston State — where he recorded 52 tackles, six tackles for loss, three interceptions, and a blocked kick — and a senior year at Oregon.

Lynch‑Adams attended training camp with the Carolina Panthers in 2025 and played in three preseason games. He rushed for 649 yards and two touchdowns in his senior season at Michigan State, adding 15 receptions for 85 yards. Before that, he starred at UMass from 2021–23, producing 1,568 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, including a 1,157‑yard, 12‑touchdown campaign in 2023. He began his college career at Rutgers, where he totaled 320 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 120 receiving yards over two seasons.

Morris‑Brash spent 2024 on the Los Angeles Chargers’ practice squad and re‑signed with the team in 2025. Across seven preseason games over two years, he recorded 18 tackles, three sacks, and an interception returned for a touchdown. At UCF, he appeared in 61 games, amassing 182 tackles, 26 sacks, and an interception. He earned first‑team All‑Big 12 honours in 2023 after posting 57 tackles and 9.5 sacks, and first‑team All‑AAC recognition in 2022.

TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts announced Monday that they have extended the contract of National linebacker Cameron Judge while adding American running back Sam Hicks and American defensive back Owen Goss to the roster.

The club also confirmed the release of National offensive lineman Darius Ciraco and American defensive lineman Derek Parish.

Judge (six-foot, 230 pounds) returned to Toronto last January in a trade with Calgary and delivered a standout 2025 campaign, earning the Argonauts’ nomination for Most Outstanding Defensive Player. He posted 79 defensive tackles, four special teams tackles, three sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and a touchdown.

The Montreal-born linebacker spent the previous three seasons with the Stampeders, where he was Calgary’s nominee for Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2024, and Most Outstanding Canadian in 2022, 2023, and 2024. He was also named an All‑CFL linebacker in 2022. Over those three seasons, Judge recorded 241 defensive tackles, eight sacks, seven interceptions, five forced fumbles, and a touchdown in 52 games.

A UCLA product, Judge first signed with Toronto in 2021, appearing in eight games and registering 13 defensive tackles and one special teams tackle. The 31‑year‑old began his CFL career in Saskatchewan (2017–19), earning the West Division nomination for Most Outstanding Canadian in 2019. Across 118 regular‑season games, he has totaled 435 defensive tackles, 26 special teams tackles, 18 sacks, 11 interceptions, and nine forced fumbles, along with five playoff appearances.

Hicks (five-foot-nine, 190 pounds) joins the Argos after a breakout 2024 season at Abilene Christian University, where he rushed for 1,333 yards and 14 touchdowns and added 45 receptions for 341 yards and three scores. The Texas native earned AP Second Team All-American honours. Before ACU, Hicks spent two seasons at Central Michigan (2022–23), averaging 21.9 yards per punt return and adding 51 rushing yards and a touchdown over 23 games. He previously played at Saddleback College (2021) and Oklahoma State (2020), transitioning from receiver to running back early in his collegiate career.

Goss (six-foot, 202 pounds) appeared in 11 games for the University of Arizona in 2024, recording 52 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, two pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. Prior to Arizona, he starred at Colgate, earning First Team All‑Patriot League honours and serving as a team captain in 2023. His Colgate career totals include 115 tackles, three interceptions, 13 pass deflections, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and three blocked kicks.

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Monday that they have extended American quarterback Jake Dolegala and added two more offensive pieces, signing American running back Larry Rountree III and American receiver Jesse Matthews. Dolegala had been set to hit free agency in February.

The club also confirmed the release of veteran receiver Drew Wolitarsky.

Dolegala, 29, returned to Hamilton in June 2025 and appeared in 13 games, posting 22 carries for 50 yards and one touchdown. The six-foot-seven, 242-pound native of Hamburg, N.Y., has spent time with four NFL organizations — Cincinnati (2019), New England (2020–21), Green Bay (2021), and Miami (2021) — along with CFL stops in Saskatchewan (2022–23), BC (2024), and Winnipeg (2024). Across 33 CFL games, he has completed 247 of 394 passes for 2,953 yards and 12 touchdowns, adding 51 rushes for 162 yards and four scores.

Wolitarsky joined the Tiger-Cats in 2025 after seven seasons with Winnipeg but did not record a statistic during his time in Hamilton. He totaled 227 receptions for 2,954 yards and 18 touchdowns with the Blue Bombers.

Rountree III, 26, arrives in Hamilton following stints in both the NFL and UFL. Drafted 198th overall by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021, he appeared in 16 NFL games, registering 49 carries for 106 yards and one touchdown, plus three receptions for 13 yards. He later spent time with the Houston Texans (2023) and the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions (2024). The five-foot-10, 210-pound Raleigh, N.C., native starred at Missouri from 2017 to 2020, amassing 3,720 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns on 746 carries, along with 289 receiving yards on 47 catches.

Matthews, 26, most recently spent time with the Houston Texans (2023) and Atlanta Falcons (2024) after entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent. The six-foot, 180-pound San Diego native played five seasons at San Diego State (2018–23), appearing in 49 games and recording 174 receptions for 2,109 yards and 15 touchdowns.
