The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have placed infielder/outfielder Chris Owings on the 10-day injured list with a mallet finger of the left thumb and have recalled infielder/outfielder Connor Joe from Triple-A Albuquerque.

- RHP Alek Manoah has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a right back contusion (retroactive to July 16).

- OF Jonathan Davis has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo and will be active for tonight’s game.
- RHP Thomas Hatch has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo and will be active for tonight’s game.
Additionally, RHP Anthony Castro has had his optional assignment reversed. He has been placed on the 10-day Major League injured list with right ulnar nerve irritation (retroactive to July 12).
Dodgers recall OF Zach Reks
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled outfielder Zach Reks and placed infielder Gavin Lux on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain.
Reks, 27, returns for his third stint with the Dodgers. On the season, he is 0-for-4 with two runs in three MLB games. He has spent most of the season in Oklahoma City, batting .325 (53-for-163) with nine homers and 31 RBI in 43 games. In 299 career minor league games, he has batted a combined .303 (325-for-1071) with 44 homers and 176 RBI. The Chicago, IL native was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 10th round of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Kentucky.
Lux, 23, heads to the injured list for the first time in his career and is hitting . .227 (63-for-278) with six homers and 37 RBI in 82 games this season. In parts of three seasons with the Dodgers, the Kenosha, WI native is batting .221 with 11 homers and 54 RBI. The 2019 Baseball America Minor League Player of the Year had a banner campaign in his last minor league campaign, hitting .347 with 26 homers and 76 RBI in 113 game split between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City. He was originally drafted in the 2016 First Year Player Draft out Indian Trail High School with the 20th overall pick in the draft.
Red Sox place infielder Christian Arroyo on 10-day injured list
Boston reinstates infielder/outfielder Danny Santana from 10-day injured list
BOSTON, MA – The Boston Red Sox today placed infielder Christian Arroyo on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain. The club also returned infielder/outfielder Danny Santana from his injury rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Worcester and reinstated him from the 10-day injured list.
Arroyo, 26, was removed from last night’s game against the New York Yankees in the third inning due to injury. This is his third stint on the injured list this season, having missed 16 games with a left hand contusion (May 7-24) and 13 games with a right knee contusion (June 21-July 4). The right-handed hitter has batted .271 (42-for-155) with six home runs and a .792 OPS in 50 games for the Red Sox this season, making 41 starts at second base and one at first base.
Santana, 30, was placed on the 10-day injured list on July 9 (retroactive to July 7) with a left quad strain. He appeared in two rehab games with Worcester and went 0-for-4 with two walks, making one start at first base and one in center field. The switch-hitter has played in 31 games with Boston and batted .167 (16-for-96) with one double, one triple, three home runs, and 10 RBI, making 11 starts in center field, 10 at first base, and one in left field.
White Sox return Matt Foster to Class AAA Charlotte
CHICAGO – Following tonight’s game vs. Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox returned right-handed pitcher Matt Foster to Class AAA Charlotte.
Foster served as the 27th player for today’s doubleheader and allowed one run in 2.0 IP in the nightcap.
Dodgers activate LHP Victor González
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers activated left-handed pitcher Victor González from the 10-day injured list and optioned right-handed pitcher Jake Reed to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
González, 25, missed nine games with left plantar fasciitis and he has appeared in 36 games for the Dodgers this season. On the campaign, he is 3-1 with a 2.57 ERA (8 ER/28.0 IP) and 26 strikeouts against 15 walks. In two seasons with the Dodgers, he is 6-1 with a 2.05 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 48.1 Innings. He was originally signed as an international free agent on July 2, 2012 by the Dodgers.
Reed, 28, appeared in six games for the Dodgers, allowing two earned runs in 5.1 innings with five strikeouts. After allowing runs in his first two outings, the Southern California native had tossed 3.2 innings without allowing an earned run. He was acquired by the Dodgers on June 4, 2021 after being released by the Los Angeles Angels on June 2. He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the fifth round of the 2014 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Oregon.
White Sox recall Matt Foster from Triple-A Charlotte
CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox have recalled right-handed pitcher Matt Foster from Class AAA Charlotte to serve as the 27th player for today’s straight doubleheader vs. Minnesota.
Foster, 26, has worked 1.0 scoreless IP in one game with Charlotte after being optioned by the White Sox on July 16. He is 2-1 with a 6.15 ERA (18 ER/26.1 IP), 32 strikeouts, one save and two holds in 26 relief appearances this season with Chicago.
