NEW YORK, NY – The New York Sirens have announced the re-signing of forward Taylor Girard to a one-year Standard Player Agreement, ensuring her return for the 2025–26 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) season.

Girard, a 26-year-old native of Macomb Township, Michigan, joined the Sirens midway through last season via a January trade with Boston. She appeared in 18 games, contributing 1 goal and 2 assists, and quickly established herself as a physical and dependable presence up front.

“Taylor plays with tenacity and leadership every time she steps on the ice,” said General Manager Pascal Daoust. “She brings the kind of intensity that elevates her teammates and embodies what it means to compete in this league.”

Originally drafted by Boston in the ninth round (52nd overall) of the inaugural PWHL Draft, Girard launched her professional career with two seasons in the PHF as a member of the Connecticut Whale (2021–2023). Prior to turning pro, she spent three NCAA seasons at Lindenwood University before transferring to Quinnipiac University for her final two years.

“It feels amazing to be staying in New York,” said Girard. “From the fans to the organization, everything about the Sirens feels like home. I’m proud to wear this jersey and can’t wait to build on what we’ve started.”

Girard joins a deep roster of returning talent, including defenders Micah Zandee-Hart, Ella Shelton, Maja Nylén Persson, Jaime Bourbonnais, goaltender Kayle Osborne, and forwards Paetyn Levis, Elle Hartje, Abby Roque, Emmy Fecteau, and Noora Tulus.
