NBA Preview: Portland Trail Blazers (31-35) at Philadelphia Sixers (43-22)

When the Portland Trail Blazers come to Philadelphia on Friday, the burgeoning Philadelphia 76ers will be looking to win for the fourth time in a row.

With a 4-1 record, the Sixers concluded a difficult five-game road trip. It was covered by prevails upon the Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

With 39 points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots, Joel Embiid led Philadelphia to a 117-94 victory over the Timberwolves on Tuesday. Tyrese Maxey added 27 focuses for the Sixers, who won conveniently without James Solidify because of left foot irritation.

The status of Harden for the game against the Trail Blazers is unknown.

In just three quarters, Embiid again improved his play and produced a performance comparable to that of a MVP. Embiid was able to rest for the fourth quarter as the game was well under control.

Embiid shot 13-of-22 from the field, including 4-of-4 from behind the 3-point line. Additionally, he hit all nine free throws.

During the most recent road trip, the Sixers’ depth has proven to be useful in addition to Embiid’s production. Doc Rivers has used deep reserves Paul Reed and Danuel House Jr., among others, to play meaningful minutes due to Harden, Tobias Harris, and P.J. Tucker’s injuries.

The Trail Blazers were easily defeated by the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, 115-93, despite the fact that Jusuf Nurkic returned after missing 14 games with a strained left calf.

In 17 minutes, Nurkic, who started, scored five points and grabbed six rebounds.

Damian Lillard drove the way for Portland with 27 places.

During their six-game road trip, the Trail Blazers are 2-2.

The Trail Blazers restricted Nurkic’s playing time, and the Sixers will follow suit.

They’re taking it slow because he hadn’t played since February 1.

Since defeating the Golden State Warriors on Feb. 8, Portland has not defeated a winning team.

The Trail Blazers will need to put in a well-rounded effort against the Sixers in order to pull off the feat. They can’t just put their faith in Lillard.
