NBA Preview: Milwaukee Bucks (56-22) at Washington Wizards (34-44)

The Milwaukee Bucks went on a brief one-game road trip after a dramatic victory on Sunday to face the host Washington Wizards on Tuesday night.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 33 points and had 14 rebounds as Milwaukee (56-22) defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 117-104 at home on Sunday.

In addition to Jrue Holiday (18 points), Bobby Portis (18 points), and Khris Middleton (19 points), Brook Lopez had 21 points and six rebounds. In the game, the Bucks shot 57.5 percent and connected on 10 of 28 (35.7 percent) 3-point attempts.

In the first quarter, Middleton scored 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting and had a team-high nine assists.

Washington (34-44) is coming off a road loss to the New York Knicks, which eliminated the Wizards from contention for the postseason, by a score of 118-109. The Wizards were led by Corey Kispert, who scored 29, and rookie Johnny Davis, who scored 16.

Antetokounmpo drives Milwaukee with 31.1 places, shooting 55.3 percent from the field, while adding 11.8 bounce back per game. With 7.2 assists and 1.2 steals, Holiday leads the team, and Brook Lopez averages 2.5 blocks per game.

Kristaps Porzingis leads Washington with 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game, but he has missed the last two games because of an illness that isn’t COVID.
