Miami has lost the season series 2-1 to Toronto. The last time the teams met was on Nov. 16, when O.G. Anunoby scored 32 points to lead the Raptors to a 112-104 victory at home.
On Sunday, Toronto prevailed for the fifth time in the previous seven games, led by 29 points from Anunoby, 28 from Fred VanVleet, and 19 points from Pascal Siakam in addition to 11 rebounds. Scottie Barnes had a wrist injury that forced him to miss two games. He scored 13 points.
Going into Monday, the Raptors are ninth in the Eastern Conference and in good shape to secure a play-in spot.
The Raptors are currently three games behind the Heat, who are seventh in the Eastern Conference and still have a chance of finishing sixth and staying out of the play-in tournament.
The Heat’s last four games have been split.
