In total, there have been 19 goals in three games between the sides, with 6.3 goals per match average the highest of any played three or more times in MLS history.

On Wednesday, Toronto FC played to a 0-0 draw with the Chicago Fire, the team’s fourth scoreless draw this season, the most of any MLS team in 2023. The Toronto FC Reds had four total 0-0 draws in league play between 2018 and 2022.

Seven different Minnesota United FC players attempted at least one shot on target in the loss to Austin FC with all seven of those players having exactly one shot on goal. it was the third league game in the team’s history having seven or more layers with a shot on target (2019 vs FC Cincinnati, 2018 vs Portland Timbers).

Sean Johnson earned his 99th career shutout in MLS play (including playoffs) in the draw against the Chicago Fire on Wednesday. Johnson needs one more clean sheet to become the fourth goalkeeper with 100+ shutouts in MLS matches, joining Nick Rimando, Kevin Hartman and Stefan Frei.
