The Union are unbeaten in eight straight matches against the Red Bulls (W5 D3, including playoffs), the longest unbeaten run by either team in the series. The eight-match winless run is new York’s longest active run against any opponent as it hasn’t gone more than two straight without a win against any other MLS team.

The Red Bulls have won three of their last four matches (D1) following a 1-0 win at Montreal on Wednesday. The Red Bulls have won consecutive matches for the fourth time this season, though they haven’t won three in a row since four-match run last October .

The Union have scored 16 goals in their last three games, the most goals ever scored in a three-match span in MLS history. Philadelphia is the second team in league history to score at least four goals in three straight games after the Red Bulls in 2012.

Lewis Morgan scored his 13th goal of the season in the Red Bulls win over Montreal on Wednesday. Morgan is only the second Red Bulls player in the last 10 seasons to score 13 goals in a single regular season, joining Bradley Wright-Phillips (5 times).

Mikael Uhre scored his 10th goal of the season in the Union’s win over Atlanta on Wednesday, the third Union player to reach 10 goals this season (J. Carranza, D. Gazdag). This is the first time in club history that three Union players have scored 10 goals in a single regular season .
