MLS Preview: Philadelphia Union (10-5-4) at Atlanta United FC (7-5-6)

The Philadelphia Union are unbeaten in its last six matches against Atlanta United FC in all competitions (W3 D3). The Philadelphia Union have won only one of their seven matches at Atlanta United FC (D3 L3), however, a 3-0 victory in the quarterfinals of the 2021 Concacaf Champions League.

Atlanta United FC’s 4-0 loss at the New York Red Bulls on Saturday ended a seven-match unbeaten run in league play, though five of those seven matches were draws (W2). Atlanta United FC has won only three of its last 14 MLS matches (D7 L4) after winning four of its first six to start the season (D1 L1).

Julian Carranza (1 goal), Mikael Uhre (1 assist) and Daniel Gazdag (1 assist) were each involved in a goal in a goal in the Philadelphia Union’s win over Inter Miami FC on Saturday. The trio has each been involved in at least one goal in the same match 13 times since the start of last season, five more than any other trio in the league.
