Minnesota United followed a 4-4 draw against Portland on July 30 with a 4-3 defeat to Colorado on Saturday. The Loons are the first team in MLS history to score seven goals over a two-match span without winning either match.
Teal Bunbury has scored in four straight matches for the third time in his MLS career and the first since 2019. Three players have scored in at least five straight MLS matches this season, including teammate Hany Mukhtar, who scored in five straight games in June-July.
Luis Amarilla recorded a goal and an assist in Minnesota’s defeat in Colorado on Saturday after a two-goal, one-assist performance against Portland on July 30. Amarilla is the fourth player this season with consecutive games with a goal and an assist, though no player has done so in three straight MLS matches since Zlatan Ibrahimovic in September 2019.
