Nashville won its only MLS match against Colorado, a 3-1 victory on May 28 in Commerce City. Hany Muhktar scored two of Nashville’s three goals, all of which were scored in the game’s first 17 minutes.
Nashville SC has picked up its first set of consecutive wins since April with a 4-0 win over Dallas last week and a 3-0 win over Vancouver on Saturday. Nashville’s consecutive wins by at least three goals comes after not winning any of its first 26 matches this season by more than a two-goal margin.
Colorado equaled the club’s largest-ever margin of defeat on Saturday, losing, 6-0, at Philadelphia. It was the third time the Rapids have lost by six goals (2014 at L A Galaxy, 2018 vs. Real Salt Lake) equaling the most six-goal losses by any club in MLS history (with D.C. United, New England and Sporting KC).
With two assists on Saturday, Hany Muhktar leads MLS with 27 goal contributions this season (16 goals, 11 assists). Muhktar has contributed to at least one goal in 13 of his last 16 MLS appearances (14 goals, 7 assists), including each of his last seven at home.
Colorado has conceded at least once in all 13 of its road matches this season (33 total goals conceded). This is the longest Colorado has gone into a season without a road clean sheet since falling to keep one in all 16 of its away matches in the 1998 season.
