MLS Preview: Atlanta United FC (5-2-3) at Inter Miami FC (3-6-0)

The nine all-time meetings between Inter Miami FC and Atlanta United have been split evenly, with each side winning three times and playing three draws. Miami is unbeaten in four home matches against Atlanta United FC (W2 D2), though the Five Stripes have scored in all four visits
to DRV Pink Stadium.

Atlanta United FC is winless in four straight away games (D2 l2) following a 3-1 loss at Nashville SC on Saturday. Atlanta United FC has won only two of its last 20 away matches (D7 L11) dating bac to early April 2022 as only the San Jose Earthquakes (1) has fewer road wins in that time.

Leonardo Campana scored both of Inter Miami FC’s goals on Saturday, scoring with his head and right foot. Of Campana’s 13 MLS goals, five have been with his left foot, four have been with his right foot, and four with his head, one of three players with at least four goals via each foot and head in MLS since the start of last season.

Thiago Almeda scored Atlanta United FC’s lone goal on Saturday from the penalty spot, his league-leading 11th goal contribution of the season (5 goals, 6 assists). Almada has been involved in at least one goal in seven of his eight MLS appearances this season, including all three on the road.
