MLS Decision Day Preview: FC Dallas (10-10-13) at Los Angeles Galaxy (8-13-12)

FC Dallas has won 10 of its last 14 regular-season matches against the Los Angeles Galaxy (D2 L2). FC Dallas has won three straight over the Los Angeles Galaxy after winning five in a row in 2017-19. Prior to 2017, FC Dallas had never won more than two straight regular-season meetings with the Los Angeles Galaxy (68 games).

The Los Angeles Galaxy enter their last match of 2023 with just eight total wins this season, guaranteeing this will be just the club’s fifth full season with fewer than 10 wins (excluding shortened 2020 season). The league record of nine straight games allowing multiple goals has been done four times, most recently by FC Cincinnati in 2019.

Entering the final match of the season. FC Dallas has scored 37 goals and conceded 36. Since MLS expanded to a 34-match season in 2011, no team has both scored and allowed fewer than 39 goals in a full single season (excluding shortened 2020 season).
