LAST APPEARANCE: He tossed 2.1 innings of relief in the A’s 7-3 loss at Los Angeles (NL) on Aug. 1…entered the game to start the fifth inning with the A’s trailing 4-0…allowed a double and two walks but no runs in the fifth and sixth…yielded a leadoff home run to Betts in the seventh and was relieved by Long with one out and runners on first and second…Long allowed one of the runs to score.
