HOWDY, PARTNER — Bradley will be making his first career start against the Rangers this afternoon…he has one previous outing against an AL West club, earning the win on 4/24 vs. Houston in his third career start (5.0IP, 4H, 3ER, 6SO, 2HR).

STRIKEOUT SAVANT — Bradley’s 48 strikeouts are tied with Charlie Morton (3/29-5/2, 2019) for the most through a pitcher’s first seven starts as a member of the Rays in club history…the last major league pitcher with more strikeouts through their first seven career starts was MIL Freddy Peralta (50SO) from 5/13-7/11, 2018.

Since his debut on 4/12, Bradley’s 34.4 pct. strikeout rate is fourth highest among major league starters (min. 7GS), trailing ATL Spencer Strider (40.4%), TOR Kevin Gausman (35.6%) and LAA Shohei Ohtani (33.8%).

Is one of 12 pitchers since 1901 to record 6+ strikeouts in at least six of his first seven career appearances, including the first since CIN Hunter Greene in 2022.

KEEP IT UNDER CONTROL — Despite issuing a career-high three walks in his last start, Bradley ranks among AL leaders (min. 35.0IP) in both strikeout rate (3rd, 33.1%) and walk rate (13th, 5.5%)…under the same parameter, his 6.00 SO/BB ratio is tied for sixth in the majors.

He joins NYY Masahiro Tanaka (58SO, 7BB) as the only pitchers in MLB history (since 1901) to record 48+ strikeouts with eight or fewer walks over their first seven career starts.

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK — After receiving zero runs of support in consecutive starts from 5/23-29, Bradley was backed by six runs of support in his most recent outing on 6/4 at Boston…on the season, his 7.97 run support average is third highest in the majors (min. 35.0IP), behind TEX Martín Pérez (9.13) and COL Brent Suter (9.08).

THIS AND THAT — The right-hander has been at his best with runners on base, holding opponents to a .179/.210/.214 (10-for-56) clip compared to .299/.349/.545 (23-for-77) with the bases empty…has held opponents to a .138 clip (11-for-80) with only three walks in two-strike counts…opposing 6-9 hitters are 6-for-50 (.120) against him compared to .325 (27-for-83) vs. the first five spots in the order.
