METSCELLANEOUS: The Mets defeated the A’s, 17-6, last night…The Mets are on their second road trip of the season an 11-day, 10-game trip against the Athletics (1-0), Dodgers (three games) and Giants (four games).

SEVENTH HEAVEN: Francisco Lindor recorded seven RBI last night, which tied his career high…Also, July 2, 2018 with Cleveland at Kansas City…It’s a single-game franchise record total by a shortstop…He is one of 13 Mets players to record seven or more RBI in a game…Over the last eight games, Lindor is batting .323 (10-31) with 10 runs, four doubles, three home runs, 14 RBI, four walks, a steal with a .417 OBP and a .742 SLG.

GRANNIES ARE SICK: The Mets hit their first grand slam of the season last night…The team’s last two grand slams have come in Oakland…Eduardo Escobar his a grand slam on September 23, 2022…The Mets have recorded 20 RBI with the bases loaded this season, which leads the National League and is second in the majors…Only the Tampa Bay Rays (21) have recorded more…The team has drawn a major league-leading six walks with the bases full…Last year, the team drew a total of 10 free passes with the bases loaded.

INVADER NIM: Brandon Nimmo has safely reached base in six games, owning a .533 OBP in that span…Overall, in 13 games this season, Nimmo is batting .268 with nine runs, three doubles, seven RBI, 14 walks and a .466 OBP…His .466 OBP ranks fourth in the Senior Circuit…The left-handed hitter has drawn 337 walks in his career, which places him 18th in franchise history…John Milner is next with 338 walks…Nimmo has posted a .387 OBP, which is the third-highest in franchise history (min. 2,000 PA)…Only John Olerud (.425) and Dave Magadan (.391) had higher OBP.
