LAST TIME OUT: Fanned a career-high-tying 10 batters for the first time this season on September 15…Threw 5.2 innings in the Mets’ 5-3 loss to the Reds at Citi Field…Allowed three runs on six hits while allowing just two walks.

PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM: Tonight, Peterson will make his eighth career appearance and seventh career start against the Phillies…Peterson owns a career 1-2 record against Philadelphia, posting a 4.83 ERA (17 ER/31.2 IP) over seven games (six starts)…Peterson last faced the Phillies in Philadelphia in Game 2 of the doubleheader on August 20, 2022, allowing three runs and striking out six over 4.2 innings.

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES NOTES:

GAME #152 RECAP: The Phillies defeated Atlanta, 6-5, in extra innings as they took two of three games from the NL East champs which marked their first series win at Truist Park since Sept. 17-19, 2019 … Starter Aaron Nola (ND) went 6.0 innings and allowed 2 runs on 6 hits with 0 walks and 8 strikeouts … Nick Castellanos hit two homers and made a spectacular catch and throw double play to nab Luke Williams at the plate in the 9th inning to preserve the tie … In the 10th, the Phillies had 2 outs and a runner at 2nd base before loading the bases for Bryson Stott who delivered a 2-run single … Matt Strahm picked up his 2nd save of the season.

PRIMED FOR RED OCTOBER: Since July 1, the Phillies have played 38 games at Citizens Bank Park and they are averaging an MLB-best 6.1 runs per game at home (232 R) while slashing .278/.354/.513 with an .867 OPS … The Phillies have hit 72 home runs at home since July which are the most among all clubs in baseball (next: LAD, 67).
