RHP Jesse Scholtens, who owns a 2.25 ERA (3 ER/12.0 IP) over his last two starts, is scheduled to start for the White Sox.

LAST NIGHT’S RECAP
Pinch-hitter Mark Canha hit a RBI double off Jimmy Lambert in the 10th inning, and Milwaukee held on to record a 7-6 victory in the series opener.
The Sox built a 5-2 lead after four innings, but the Brewers scored twice in the fifth and twice in the sixth before the Sox tied the game in the seventh.
Starter Michael Kopech posted a ND, allowing four runs on five hits and five walks over 4.1 IP (96 pitches) … Aaron Bummer suffered his third blown save despite throwing 2.0 scoreless IP with four strikeouts.
Eloy Jiménez went 3-5 with a two-run homer (No. 14) and career-high tying three runs scored, Andrew Benintendi scored twice, Yoán Moncada was 2-5 with double and RBI, and Andrew Vaughn went 2-5 with a RBI.

Longtime White Sox radio analyst Darrin Jackson is recovering from hip replacement surgery performed on Friday morning in Chicago … Jackson is hopeful to rejoin the booth at some point on the upcoming trip or the following homestand.

On this date in 2021, Tim Anderson hit a game-ending, two-run homer off Zack Britton with one out in the ninth inning as the White Sox defeated the Yankees, 9-8, in front of a crowd of 7,832 at the inaugural “Field of Dreams Game” in Dyersville, Iowa.
After the Yankees scored four runs in the top of the ninth off closer Liam Hendriks (4 ER/1.0 IP), Seby Zavala drew a one-out walk off Britton to set the stage for Anderson’s second career walkoff homer (also 4/26/19 vs. Detroit).
José Abreu hit the first-ever home run in a regular-season game in the state of Iowa, a solo shot off Andrew Heaney in the first … Anderson finished with three RBI and two runs scored, Eloy Jiménez hit a three-run home run in the third, and Zavala hit a two-run homer in the fourth.
It was the most-watched regular-season game since 2005, with 5,903,000 viewers across FOX and FOX Deportes.
DOWN ON THE FARM
Following the acquisition of seven players in six trades from 7/26-8/1, the White Sox farm system currently is ranked 13th in baseball per Fangraphs, up from No. 27 prior to the deadline.
According to the most recent MLB.com rankings, three White Sox prospects rank among the Top 100 in baseball: SS Colson Montomery is No. 17, LHP Noah Schultz is No. 66, and recently acquired C Edgar Quero is No. 87.
Among the Sox trade-deadline acquisitions, Quero is rated by MLB.com as the No. 3 prospect in the organization, LHP Jake Eder is No. 5, RHP Nick Nastrini is No. 6, LHP Ky Bush is No. 9 and C Korey Lee is No. 18.

The White Sox and Brewers are meeting during the regular season for just the seventh time since 2002.
The Sox are 17-9 against Milwaukee since 2000.
