That total is most in the majors. Dating to the 2019 season, no club in baseball has gone deep in back-to-back at-bats more often than Atlanta. The Braves have 51 sets of consecutive home runs in that span, two more than any other team. Olson and Riley have teamed up for back-to-back home runs five times this season, the most by a set of teammates in the majors. TONIGHT’S GAME: The Braves and Brewers tonight continue a three-game weekend series in what is the fifth of six scheduled meetings between the clubs this season…Atlanta and Milwaukee met just six days ago in the finale of a three-game series last weekend.
- Atlanta beat Milwaukee, 10-7, last night, and has won three of the four games between the clubs this season.
- The Braves and Brewers split six games last season, as they have for each of the last three years they have played…Atlanta is 12-10 against Milwaukee since 2019 following last night’s win, with the Braves outscoring the Brewers, 108-95 (+13).

- RH Bryce Elder made his first career start against Milwaukee last Sunday, and pitched 6.0 two-run innings in a no-decision…The 6-foot-2, 220- pound right-hander has pitched to a 7.71 ERA (16 ER/18.2 IP) in four starts this month, yet is 7-2 with a 3.30 ERA (42 ER/114.2 IP) in 20 turns on the season for the Braves.
- RH Julio Teheran pitched nine seasons for Atlanta, 2011-2019, and made his first start against his former club last Sunday…He allowed three hits and just one run over 6.0 innings…A two-time All-Star for the Braves, Teheran compiled a 77-73 record with a 3.67 ERA (554 ER/1360.0 IP) for the club, and ranks ninth on the Atlanta-era wins list for the franchise…In 10 starts for Milwaukee this season, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Colombia is 2-4 with a 3.75 ERA (24 ER/57.2 IP).
WIN: Atlanta took the opener from Milwaukee, 10-7, last night…The Braves’ 10 runs were just one fewer than they had managed in their previous four games combined.
- Atlanta’s 10 runs marked the 13th time the club has scored at least 10 runs in a game this season… The Braves have gone 11-2 (.846) in those contests, falling 11-10 to Cincinnati on June 23 and 16-13 to Arizona on July 18…The only clubs with more such games are Texas (21) and Chicago (NL) with 16.
- The Braves improved to 22-6 (.786) against Central division opponents this season, the best mark across the majors…Atlanta has gone 11-2 (.846) against the N.L. Central and 11-4 (.733) against the division in the American League.
- Atlanta moved to 10-7 (.588) on Friday nights with the victory, including wins in five straight dating to June 30 vs. Miami.
TRAILING: Milwaukee scored a pair of runs in the top of the second last night to open the scoring, before Atlanta rallied to win…The Braves have won each of
their last two games when allowing the first run, and are 15-19 (.441) in such games overall.
- From June 7 to July 2, Atlanta won 10 straight games when allowing the first run…The Braves’ 15-19 record overall when doing so is best in the National League, and trails just the Orioles (30-30, .500) and Rangers (25-29, .463) for the best mark in baseball.
- When trailing at any point, regardless of when the runs were scored, Atlanta has compiled a 29-34 (.460) record…Only Baltimore has been better (35-37, .486), and just one other team in baseball has won even 40% of games in which it trails… Cincinnati is 35-47 (.427).
- For reference, teams trailing in the majors at any point this season have played to just a .321 winning percentage collectively, going 712-1,506 in these
games.
CONTRIBUTIONS: All nine members of Atlanta’s starting lineup got a hit last night, as the Braves combined for 10 runs and 15 hits…Six different Braves had multihit efforts.
- Last night was the seventh time this season in which all nine Atlanta starters got a base hit, tied with the Rockies for the most such games in the majors.
- Eddie Rosario and Marcell Ozuna combined to go 4-for-8 with four runs, two doubles, a homer and three RBI…Those two had batted just .154 (19- for-123) collectively in July, with three homers and 10 RBI.
- Ozuna, Austin Riley and Matt Olson homered for Atlanta, the Braves’ majors-most 29th game this season with at least three homers.
HARRIS II STREAKING: Michael Harris II singled in the second inning last night to extend his season-long hitting streak to 10 games… It is the second-longest streak of his major league career, behind a 15-game run from August 22-September 9, 2022.
- Harris II is batting .385/.455/.564 since the All-Star break, with five doubles and a triple in 12 games.
