TONIGHT’S GAME: The Braves and Brewers tonight open a three-game weekend series in what is the fourth of six scheduled meetings between the clubs this season…Atlanta and Milwaukee met just five days ago in the final of a three-game series last weekend.

  • Atlanta took two-of-three in Milwaukee last weekend.
  • The Braves and Brewers split six games last season, as they have for each of the last three years in which they have played…Atlanta is 11-10 against Milwaukee since 2019 following last weekend’s games, with the Braves outscoring the Brewers, 98-88 (+10).
  • The Braves have not won the season set with the Brewers since 2017, when they went 4-2 over six games…However, in the four seasons since, Atlanta is 14-14 (.500) versus Milwaukee and has outscored the Brewers, 132-123 (+9).

LOSS: Atlanta fell to Boston, 5-3, on Wednesday night, and dropped both games of the two-game set…The Braves were swept for the third time this season, and for the second time away from home.

  • The Braves were swept in three games in Toronto, May 12-14, and dropped all three to Houston here at Truist Park, April 21-23.
  • Wednesday’s game was the 100th of the season for Atlanta, and the Braves played to a majors-best record of 64-36 over its first 100 games.

MICHAEL HARRIS II: Collected one of Atlanta’s six hits Wednesday night, a sixth-inning double off of Brayan Bello…Since the All-Star break, Harris’ .400 (14-for-35) batting average is best in the National League and sixth highest in baseball.

  • Harris II is batting .400/.475/.600 since the break, with five doubles and a triple in 11 games.
  • Dating further, over his last 40 games since June 7, Harris II is batting .371/.397/.622 with 20 extra-base hits (11 doubles, two triples, seven homers), 25 runs scored and 20 RBI…His .371 average since that date is highest in the majors.

LAST TEN: Atlanta’s loss on Wednesday dropped the club to 3-7 in its last 10 games, the worst 10-game stretch for the Braves this season…Atlanta won its first game out of the All-Star break on June 14, but has won just three games since.

  • The Braves went 28-5 in their 33 games prior to this current spell, tied for the best 33-game stretch in modern-era franchise history.
