MARLINS MINUTE
The Marlins tonight play the first game of a three-game series at Cincinnati. Is the second stop on their current six-game road trip which opened with the Marlins getting swept in a three-game set in Texas. Following this series, return home for an off day on Thursday followed by a six-game homestand against the Yankees (3G) and Astros (3G).

Marlins batters went 0x6 with runners in scoring position.

JOHNNY BEISBOL
Wednesday’s starter RHP Johnny Cueto was originally signed by the Reds as an international free agent in March 2004. Made his Major League debut on April 3, 2008 vs. Arizona at GABP. Went on to pitch 8 seasons with Cincinnati, going 92- 63 with a 3.21 ERA, including an All-Star selection in 2014 when he was a runner up for the NL Cy Young Award.

  • The Reds recalled from Louisville RHP Brett Kennedy (#66) and optioned to Louisville RHP Lyon Richardson.
  • Kennedy was on the Reds’ roster on 7/4 & 7/5…started and earned the 8-4 win on 7/4 at Wsh in his only Major League appearance since 2018 (5+ip, 5h, 4er, 2bb, 3k).
  • RHP Casey Legumina, who since 6/21 has been on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder pain, has been returned from a rehabilitation assignment, reinstated from the IL and optioned to Louisville.
