The Cleveland Guardians opened a 6-game road trip with a 6-3 loss to the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night at Petco Park…Guards have dropped 3 of last 4 series openers, however Cleveland has won or split 5 consecutive series overall (4 series wins, one split), needing to take both remaining games from the Padres to make it 6 straight.

(double) set up a run-scoring groundout in the 5th…TYLER FREEMAN tacked on a sac fly in the 6th…XZAVION CURRY fanned a pair over 2.0 perfect frames in relief of Bibee…CODY MORRIS made his season debut with a scoreless 7th.
