Josh Winder recalled from Triple-A St. Paul

CHICAGO, IL – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed left-handed pitcher Steven Okert on the Bereavement List.

Okert has appeared in 38 games (1 start) for the Twins this season, going 3-1 with a 4.45 ERA (30.1 IP, 15 ER), one save, 14 walks and 30 strikeouts.

To replace Okert on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Josh Winder from Triple-A St. Paul. Winder, 27, has appeared in 22 games for the Saints this season, striking out 39 batters in 34.0 innings, with 12 walks. He made one appearance for the Twins this season, coming on July 5 vs. Houston, pitching 2.0 innings of relief.
