Wallner was removed from Tuesday night’s game against the New York Mets in the first inning with the injury. He has hit .263 (15-for-57) with five doubles, two triples, one home run, three RBI, nine walks, seven runs scored and an .847 OPS in 18 games for the Twins this season.

Additionally, the Twins have added infielder Jonah Bride to the 26-man roster to replace Wallner. Bride was acquired from the Miami Marlins yesterday in exchange for cash considerations.
