MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins have announced the addition of right-handed pitchers Travis Adams and Marco Raya to their major league 40-man roster.

Over 26 games (22 starts), he recorded a 5-9 record with a 3.90 ERA, 118 strikeouts, 35 walks, and held opponents to a .234 batting average across 127 innings. His 118 strikeouts ranked third among all Twins minor leaguers, and he posted a 24.5% strikeout rate in his 22 games (19 starts) at Wichita. The 6-foot-1, 197-pound right-hander was named Texas League Pitcher of the Week and Twins Minor League Pitcher of the Week in late August. Hailing from Palm Springs, California, Adams was selected by the Twins in the sixth round of the 2021 MLB Draft out of California State University, Sacramento, and has progressed through five levels in the Twins organization over the last four years.

Marco Raya: Raya, 22, spent most of the 2024 season with Double-A Wichita, where he went 3-4 with a 4.27 ERA, 99 strikeouts, and 44 walks over 92.2 innings in 24 starts. He was promoted to Triple-A St. Paul in mid-September and pitched 5.0 scoreless innings in his lone start for the Saints on September 20 against Indianapolis. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-hander ranked second among Twins minor leaguers in starts (25), eighth in strikeouts (103), and 10th in innings pitched (97.2). Currently rated as the Twins’ fifth-best prospect by MLB.com and FanGraphs, Raya was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 MLB Draft out of United South High School in Laredo, Texas, and has a 26.0% strikeout rate over 225.1 career minor league innings.

Following these transactions, the Twins’ major league roster now consists of 37 players: 21 pitchers, three catchers, five infielders, five outfielders, and three utility players.
