MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx announced today the signing of guard Jaylyn Sherrod for the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season. In accordance with team policy, contract terms were not disclosed.

Sherrod Joins Lynx After Liberty Tenure

Sherrod, 23, was waived by the New York Liberty on August 1 after appearing in 28 games across two seasons. The 5-foot-7 guard holds career averages of:

  • 38.2% shooting
  • 5.0 minutes per game

Her standout performance came on June 22 vs. Seattle, where she posted:

  • 8 points
  • 3 assists
  • 2 steals
  • 14 minutes played

Collegiate Career at Colorado

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Sherrod was a two-time All-Pac-12 selection at the University of Colorado. She earned AP All-America Honorable Mention honors in 2023–24 after leading the Buffaloes to a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
