Injury Updates Announced for Mitchell, Powers and Shepard
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced the following injury updates on guard Tiffany Mitchell, guard Aerial Powers and forward Jessica Shepard.
A surgical consultation conducted by hand surgeon Sanjeev Kakar, MD, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester confirmed that Mitchell has a left wrist sprain. It will be treated non-operatively. She will be re-evaluated in the following weeks and further updates will be issued when available.
Powers, who suffered a left ankle sprain at practice on June 14, continues her rehabilitation and will be re-evaluated in the following weeks with updates to follow.
Shepard, who has been out since June 16 with a non-covid illness, is progressing as expected and will continue to be re-evaluated regularly with updates to follow.
