Michigan Online Gambling Revenue Falls in June as Betting Activity Slows

LANSING, Mich. – Michigan’s commercial and tribal gaming operators reported $341.3 million in combined internet gaming and online sports betting gross receipts in June, a 10.8% drop from May as betting activity cooled heading into summer.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board said internet gaming generated $301.2 million in gross receipts for the month, while online sports betting produced $40.1 million.

Adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for June totaled $309.36 million statewide, including $289.21 million from internet gaming and $20.15 million from online sports wagering. Compared with May, iGaming AGR declined 1.5 percent and sports betting AGR fell 13.4 percent.

Year over year, internet gaming continued to show strong growth, rising 28 percent. Online sports betting, however, dropped 33.9 percent from June 2025.

Sports betting handle also dipped, falling to $366.1 million — a 20 percent decrease from May.

Operators paid $62.3 million in taxes and fees to the state in June, including $60.8 million from internet gaming and $1.5 million from online sports betting.

Detroit’s three casinos reported $13.96 million in wagering taxes and municipal service fees to the city, with $13.5 million coming from iGaming and $460,753 from online sports betting.

Tribal operators submitted $8.4 million in payments to their governing bodies for the month.
