* Matthews and Marner (8x; 2016-17 to 2023-24) can join Borje Salming and Ian Turnbull (8x; 1973-74 to 1980-81) as the only players in club history to reach the postseason in at least each of their first eight NHL seasons.

* Captain John Tavares and 40-year-old defenseman Mark Giordano are part of a list of active players with 1,000-plus career regular-season games who have yet to win the Stanley Cup (more info below).

* The 57 years (55 completed seasons) that have passed since their last Cup win and Final appearance are both the longest such droughts in League history.

* Matthews is on pace for 68 goals. Six players have won the Stanley Cup on the heels of scoring 60-plus goals in the season: Wayne Gretzky (3x; 1984 EDM1985 EDM & 1987 EDM), Mike Bossy (3x; 1983 NYI1982 NYI & 1981 NYI), Jari Kurri (1985 EDM), Guy Lafleur (1978 MTL), Steve Shutt (1977 MTL) and Phil Esposito (1972 BOS).

Max Domi’s father, Tie Domi, was part of the last Maple Leafs team to play beyond the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs (when Max was four years old). There have been four father-son combos to dress for Toronto in the Stanley Cup Playoffs at some point in their careers: Mike and Nick FolignoBarry and John CullenCaland Paul Gardner; as well as Babe and Tracy Pratt. None of those duos have had both father and son score a goal.

* Ryan Reaves has appeared in at least one playoff game in each of the last 12 seasons dating to 2012, which marks the second longest active run in the NHL behind Marc-Andre Fleury (17 dating to 2007). The last skater to reach the playoffs in 13 or more consecutive seasons was Brooks Orpik (13 from 2007–2019).
