MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has signed guard Kayana Traylor to a hardship contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
Traylor, a 5-9 guard, was originally selected 23rd overall in the 2023 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky. She joined Chicago in Toronto for the preseason game before being waived on May 17. She played her final two collegiate seasons at Virginia Tech where she started 68 games and totaled 728 points and 159 assists while shooting 43.7%. Prior to Virginia Tech, she spent three seasons at Purdue University. She ended her collegiate career averaging 9.6 points and 3.0 assists in 28.2 minutes.
