LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Dodgers made a series of catching‑related roster moves Tuesday, adding Hunter Feduccia to the active roster, selecting the contract of Ben Rortvedt, optioning Eliezer Alfonzo to Triple‑A Oklahoma City, and designating Chuckie Robinson for assignment.
Feduccia Joins Roster After Trade From Tampa Bay
Feduccia, 29, arrived in Los Angeles on Monday as part of a deal that sent outfielder Jack Suwinski and international bonus pool money to Tampa Bay in exchange for Feduccia and right‑hander Jacob Kmatz. The left‑handed‑hitting catcher appeared in 60 games for the Rays this season, batting .234 with two home runs and 12 RBI.
He has played parts of three major league seasons with the Dodgers (2024–25) and Rays (2025–26), hitting .207 with two home runs and 21 RBI across 121 games. In seven minor league seasons, Feduccia has been a consistent offensive performer, owning a .271 average, 55 home runs, and 308 RBI. Los Angeles originally drafted him in the 12th round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of LSU.
Rortvedt Selected After Trade From Mets
Rortvedt, 28, was acquired Monday from the New York Mets in exchange for right‑hander Chayce McDermott. He played 48 games for Triple‑A Syracuse this season, batting .235 with six home runs and 26 RBI.
Rortvedt spent part of last season with the Dodgers, appearing in 18 games and hitting .225 while contributing to a pitching staff that posted an MLB‑best 2.17 ERA in September. Since debuting with Minnesota in 2021, he has played for the Twins, Yankees, Rays, and Dodgers, hitting .190 with nine home runs and 52 RBI in 227 career games. He was drafted in the second round in 2016 out of Verona High School in Wisconsin.
Alfonzo Optioned After 12‑Game Stint
Alfonzo, 26, was optioned after going 1‑for‑3 Monday night against the Cubs. He appeared in 12 games for Los Angeles this season, batting .185 with two doubles and four RBI. At Triple‑A Oklahoma City, he has been one of the club’s most productive hitters, batting .313 with 17 RBI in 2026.
Across 581 minor league games, Alfonzo owns a .283 average, 32 home runs, and 283 RBI. He signed with the Dodgers as a minor league free agent in November 2025.
Robinson Designated for Assignment
Robinson, 31, was designated for assignment one day after rejoining the major league roster. He did not appear in a game during his brief stay. Robinson has played parts of three MLB seasons with Cincinnati, the White Sox, and the Dodgers, hitting .124 with two home runs and six RBI.
At Triple‑A Oklahoma City this season, Robinson appeared in 33 games, batting .229 with five home runs and 23 RBI. Houston drafted him in the 21st round of the 2016 draft out of Southern Mississippi.
