VILNIUS, Lithuania – The Lithuanian Gambling Supervisory Authority has introduced new guidelines aimed at standardizing how operators terminate remote gambling contracts, the agency announced.

The regulator said it developed the guidance after determining that rules governing contract termination are scattered across multiple legal acts, creating inconsistent interpretations among operators. The new document is intended to establish a uniform understanding of the legal framework and promote best practices across the industry.

According to the authority, the guidelines are designed to help licensed gambling companies correctly apply the laws that define when and how remote gambling contracts may be ended. The regulator said the move is part of its broader effort to strengthen consumer protection and ensure operators meet their legal obligations in a consistent manner.
