TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed goaltender Maxime Lagace to a one-year, two-way contract today, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced.
Lagace, 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, appeared in two games with the Lightning last season, recording a 1-1-0 record. He played in 36 games with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, posting a 23-9-2 record with a 2.31 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage with four shutouts. Lagace ranked tied for third in the AHL for shutouts and was sixth for GAA and wins. He also appeared in five Calder Cup Playoff games with a 2.57 GAA and a .911 save percentage.
A native of Saint-Augustin, Quebec, Lagace has played in 20 career NHL games with the Lightning, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Vegas Golden Knights, registering a 8-9-1 record. He has played in 203 career AHL games, posting a 2.68 GAA and a .908 save percentage with a 109-56-21 record and 12 shutouts. Lagace has also played in 11 career Calder Cup Playoff games with a 2.71 GAA and a .906 save percentage.
Lagace, 29, was originally signed by the Lightning as a free agent on July 28, 2021.
