SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Illinois’ 17 casinos generated $192.8 million in revenue in May, a 9.2% increase from the same month last year, according to figures released Monday by the Illinois Gaming Board.

Slots drive statewide revenue

Slots accounted for the majority of revenue at $146.5 million, while table games produced $46.2 million.

Rivers Casino in Des Plaines led all properties with $48.7 million, up 7.2% year over year. It was followed by:

  • Wind Creek Chicago Southland: $21.2 million, up 14%
  • Hard Rock Casino Rockford: $13.8 million, up 3.5%

Fairmount Park, located east of St. Louis, posted the largest year‑over‑year percentage gain, doubling revenue from $1.2 million in May 2025 to $2.4 million this year — a 106% increase.

Three casinos report declines

Three properties saw revenue fall in May:

  • Hollywood Casino Aurora: down from $9.6 million to $8.3 million
  • DraftKings at Casino Queen (East St. Louis): down slightly from $7.93 million to $7.89 million
  • Argosy Casino Alton: down from $3.2 million to $3.1 million

New casinos boost statewide totals

Illinois’ newest land‑based casinos — Hollywood Casino Joliet (opened 2025), Wind Creek Chicago Southland (opened 2024), and Hard Rock Casino Rockford (opened 2024) — contributed significantly to the state’s year‑over‑year revenue growth.
